31 Day Challenge - Day 6: Violet

Here's post number 2 of 3! It's day 6 in the 31 day challenge and the theme is violet! For this mani I attempted to use tape again. It was more successful than previous attempts, although still not perfect.

I used some craft scissors to cut tape with a squiggly edge, and then I added the dots using a dotting tool.  The polishes are Jessica Ruffled Bottoms and Stargazer 232.

And here's what coming up  (if you don't know it by heart by now).

Have a ganders at all the other violet nails today:

Teal Tuesdays: Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Today's a bit of a special Teal Tuesdays.  September is Ovarian cancer awareness month in the US, so the group was asked if we'd like to make the theme of one of our Tuesday manicures Ovarian cancer awareness.  We've got loads of extra people from outside of the group joining in today, and we've even got Inlinkz for the occasion!

So here's my manicure, I decided to keep it simple.

The three polishes I used are Barry M Matt White and Teal, and OPI Mermaid's Tears.

If you want to find out more about ovarian cancer, have a look at Target Ovarian Cancer or Ovarian Cancer Action.

Hopefully the Inlinkz code below works so you can see all the other manicures!

My Favourite Things: Glitter

Happy Monday!  I'm posting this one a day early, as I have three more posts for you tomorrow.  Three!  So anyway, here you have the next manicure in the My Favourite Things challenge hosted by Kelly at Ooh La La Polish!  Today's theme is glitter.

Instead of going for the usual full on glitter bomb, I decided to try out my Barry M Black Multi Glitter.  This is a black polish with teeny holographic glitter in it.  Then I stuck on some stars and ta-da!

My camera didn't want to focus on the glitteryness, sorry!

We're coming up to the end of the challenge now!  Only three more manicures left.  Next up is hearts/love on Thursday :)

31 Day Challenge - Day 5: Blue

Morning ladies (and it's actually morning this time).  Today is the 5th day in the 31 day challenge and the theme is blue.  As promised, I have a manicure using China Glaze Manhunt.  Without further ado...

I attempted to add a glitter gradient in Saffron 07 and then added some flowers using Star Gazer 232 and some more Manhunt.

This is a really simple manicure.  I even recreated it on my mum in black and gold, despite how she likes to wriggle.  She managed to ruin the cushion thing of top of this box thing that we have the other day, when she decided to stick her hand out over the post-it just as I was about to put a blob of polish on it.  Tut tut.

Next up is violet and this'll be posted on Tuesday.

I'm  moving down to Kent tomorrow for this new job, and there's a small possibility I still haven't finished packing, so I suppose I should go get on with that!  After I finish my coffee...  Have a lovely weekend everyone :)
