Geometrically Pinking

Hellooooo!

So this week has been busy!  I had my MSc viva on Tuesday, and so my Master's is now done!  Had an email today to let us know we all passed (always a relief!), but have to wait until July to find out how we did.  Now just all the professional exams and assessments to do...ugh.

A few weeks ago I was desperately searching for a dress for a black tie event.  It was TK Maxx that came through for me in the end, and while I was there it seemed sensible to treat myself to the China Glaze Road Trip mini collection.  This is Pinking Out The Window.

This is a weird polish - in a good way.  Sometimes it's really pink, and then sometimes it's far more peachy.  And occasionally it decide to be neon.  As you do.

After a couple of days wear, I decided to add a bit of a gold geometric pattern.

I didn't actually mean to paint the bottom part of my index finger nail, but I was watching TV and obviously not paying enough attention...

This design was created using striping tape and Avon Golden Vision.

Please excuse the dint in my thumb!

Have you tried any of the China Glaze Road Trip collection?

Black and White Challenge #1: Get In Shape

Nail Art Challengez is yet another Facebook group that I've been a member of for longer than I can remember, but have yet to join in a challenge in.  But, today is the day!  They're currently running a black and white nail art challenge, hosted by Yohana at Beauty-Shoes-Nails-Fun.

Here's the challenge schedule:

After much discussion in the group, it has been clarified that YES black and white means ONLY black and white (but if I mix black and white together I can use the grey right...?  Or I can just use a grey polish and lie to you all :p ).

Anyhoo, the first challenge is geometric.  I painted a few nails with Barry M Matt White, and a few with Barry M Black, and then went to town with my Barry M nail art pens.

All in all, a bit of a Barry M fest.  You'll be seeing a lot more of these over the course of this challenge as well...

Teal Tuesdays: Geometric

Hello!  It's time for another Teal Tuesdays post.  Sorry it's so late!  I had a flat viewing after work today, and I've been looking online for more flats since I got home.  I haven't even had my tea yet - that's how committed I am to escaping from staff accommodation AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  I just wasn't made for shared accommodation.  I went in the kitchen this morning and there was dough all over the counter from where one of my flatmates had been rolling it out last night...  And every time I step in the water that someone hasn't cleaned up after dripping everywhere after their shower, I get a little bit closer to committing homicide.  I am a woman on the edge.  And I've ran out of chocolate.

But anyway, you don't care about that.  So here are my geometric nails!  I'll be honest, I wasn't really feeling this theme, but I do quite like how they turned out.

I can only apologise for the fact that my fingers look like they belong to an 80 year old woman (or possibly man).  I'm blaming all the alcohol gel I use in work.  Definitely nothing to do with all the acetone...

Oh, I should probably tell you what polish I used as well!  It's Barry M Teal, and I cheated and used blue and green sharpies for the lines.

So, we have inlinkz again, because we're all fancy these days :D  So go check out what every one else came up with this week!
