Hello again :)
Today I have a Then & Now post that I did so long ago it's almost more of a Then & Then! This is the manicure I was recreating (as voted by you):
Ah, that sofa was ugly, but it was darn comfy. Anyway, yes, hideous hideous photo, but I do still like the nails! You can see the original post here.
And here's the new version!
I used all the same polishes as before (except the white is my trusty Barry M Matt White!), but went for a bit of a rougher more haphazard approach, rather than the smooth 'c' shapes I used before. Apologies for the broken thumbnail and the fact that my skin looks like I'm about 80!
Which do you prefer? And do you think there's any improvement??
Oh and yeah...I've just noticed the bit of glitter on my little finger. Forgot about that! I was going to add glitter highlights to all my roses but when I started doing the first one I realised the pink was too salmon.
If you'd like to see my recreate another old manicure, you can choose which ones by clicking 'like' on the photos in the Facebook album here.

Nail Night
Happy Sunday lovely people.
As I said yesterday, last night I went to my auntie's house and drank lots of wine, ate lots of nibbles and painted some nails :)
Here are photos of everyone's nails - sorry they're not great quality, they're all taken with a flash.
These are my auntie's nails; she wanted a purple leopard print design :)
My mum was feeling a little indecisive, but eventually settled on a recreation of my rose nail art.
My little sister got no say in what she had, other than choosing the colours. She was also the last person's nails I painted, and therefore I'd consumed the most wine by this point...
From thumb to little finger, I did zebra print, leopard print, a lightning bolt, glitter and what's supposed to be a gradient... This is the first time I've tried doing leopard print with a dotting tool - sooo much easier with a nail art pen!
If you want to know what any of the particular polishes are, just ask in the comments. Also, I'm thinking of doing a few photo tutorials, including ones for the leopard and rose print. Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in seeing!

Floral Mani
Whilst painting my nails this morning, I managed to kick over a cup of coffee. The nails got ruined in the clean up, so here's an old mani instead!
I've done flowers using a dotting tool loads of times, so I wanted to try a slightly different floral pattern.
I feel the need to say that the pattern on the sofa behind was not my choice...
For this design, I used Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream as a base. The roses were done using Barry M Bright Pink and Max Factor Disco Pink, and the leaves were done using Barry M Mint Green and Spring Green. If you hadn't guessed, I've got quite a few Barry M polishes in my collection... The highlights were done using Collection 2000 French White, and it's all sealed with a coat of OPI RapiDry.
I think they ended up looking quite Cath Kidston-esque. What do you think?
